Admission Overview

Adhiparasakthi Polytechnic College offers diploma programmes in various engineering disciplines for students who wish to pursue technical education after completing their secondary or higher secondary studies. Admissions are conducted according to the guidelines and regulations prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu. The institution follows a transparent and merit-based admission process to ensure equal opportunities for all eligible candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of diploma programmes must have successfully completed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or any equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Students must meet the eligibility requirements and subject criteria as prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education.
Lateral Entry Admission
Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary (HSC) with vocational subjects or possess an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) qualification are eligible for **Lateral Entry admission directly to the second year (third semester)** of the diploma programme. Admission will be based on merit and eligibility criteria specified by the Directorate of Technical Education.
Admission Procedure
Applicants seeking admission must obtain the prescribed application form from the college office and submit the completed form within the specified time along with the necessary documents. Admission will be granted based on merit, reservation policy, and availability of seats in the respective diploma programme.

Reservation Policy
Admissions are carried out in accordance with the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Seats are allocated under various categories such as Open Competition (OC), Backward Class (BC), Most Backward Class (MBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and other eligible categories as per government norms.
Duration of the Course
The regular diploma programme is conducted for three years (six semesters). Candidates admitted through lateral entry will join the second year of the programme, completing the course within two years (four semesters).
